Hi!! I am going for my NET this Saturday in hopes of starting my LPN program at Lincoln Tech in Mt Laurel in March 2010. Has anyone attended recently/or will be attending that can give me some info? I read alot of horror stories on this site that have made me a lil nervous. Can someone put my mind at ease?! Please. :sniff:

Ah, Wii! A true family favorite, lol. We also have an addiction, as well. My personal fav is classic Wii Fit. Like all the balance games and stuff. So much fun.

So this Tuesday I go to the doctor for my physical, bloodwork and shots. I am so NOT looking forward to it. Me and my husband always laugh cause I absolutely hate needles! Even with all the piercings and tattoos I've had.... nothing is worse to me than a needle!!! My family is like, "Rachel, how the hell are you going to be a nurse when you are scared of needles?" but its like completely different giving one than getting one, I imagine. I'm going to get the Hep B shot and I guess I need a Tetorifice since I dont remember ever having to get one. Can't wait to just get it over with. I wont be volunteering in school when we're learning how to give needles. I am so not a pin cushion!! lol.

So we have like another month before our first orientation! How exciting! I cant wait.

Oh, I need to make an appointment for all that stuff with my doc! I just ran across your post for working as a cna or chha. Today I was thinking I'm going to have to work while in school, there's just nothing I can do about that. Not a full 40 hour week but something to help with bills, but I don't know where I can find a job that pays at least $10/hour and I could work nights/weekends. So I started looking up cna and chha (my mom is a chha and has been trying to get me to do it for years lol). I like the idea that cna's can work in hospitals. I'm thinking about taking a 12week class that's only on Saturdays soon if possible. That way if I can get a job in a hospital then when I get my lpn I could still keep the cna hospital job as part time or per diem or the least amount of time to keep the job, get a fulltime lpn job (which hopefully will be easier to get having the cna experience but who knows) then when I'm ready to go for my rn I'll already be in a hospital so they may be more likely to hire me as an rn or maybe even reimburse me for some of my tuition. Maybe I'm just thinking too much into it, lol it's driving me crazy though. This would have been so much easier if I did this right after high school!!!

Hey guys, i just stumbled upon your thread...and im curious to know what your update is of the program? I am a graduate of Rutgers and want to go back to school to get my RN, but (as we all know) all of the RN programs in the state are wait listed for...a year +...so i am looking into LPN program at lincoln tech...i'm only 22, so my parents are still involved w/ financial aid, and i dont qualify to get any state aid for that reason. so im trying to weigh all of my options...and trying to not wait a year to get started on this...any info/opinions would be great. I did take NET test at LT and passed with flying colors and also was told my scores were "so high"...i found it odd, that it seemed rare to have such high scores, but maybe its because i just graduated? Any thoughts would be great!!! thanks so much
