hey everyone! i am about to start my pre-req for nursing school and of course i am starting to try and imagine life in nursing. i'm wondering what sort of jobs you are able to do prior to graduating nursing school in the hospital? i am not able to work part-time so i'm just trying to figure out my options. also the hospitals i am interested in are elliot hospital and catholic medical center both in manchester. does anyone have experience working at either of these? do they hire right from school? what are the normal pay rates for rn? (associate degree)

thank you!

Elliot is AWESOME. I have worked there through agency SEVERAL times(Im and LNA), and have enjoyed it everytime. I would love to work there when I get done with nursing school. Dont know if they hire right from school, most hosptitals from what I hear make you go through the new grad program-dont know if the same is for elliot.Oh, and from what I understand for a new grad pay rate is like, mid 20's, give or take. Sorry I wasnt the best of help, but congrats on getting yourself started!

hi there!

i am kind of courious how are you doing now. I dont work yet, will take NCLEX RN soon and then I am going to apply for job in NH hospitals. I am wonder how the situation looks like if it comes to hiring new nurses, are there any openings? I heard opinions that NH is kind of hard now...

wish you the best and keep us posted!:)
