I wanted to start a thread for Fall 2013 UNLV School of Nursing hopefuls!

I agree. I really hope they start to accept more applicants. I wonder what day they will start notifying if you've made the cut. These will be the longest few weeks of my life!

I think we will hear something by either Friday the 5th or Monday the 8th bcus it seems like it takes them about a week to make "the calls." I think that's why they do the sessions in segments because the probably calculate the points and do stack rankings as they go so its not overwhelming.

I sure hope so! The 15th seems so far away haha trying to keep busy until then! Anyone else applying for fall 2013?

I received my acceptance call yesterday at about 3:30pm! A buddy of mine also received his call yesterday around noon. I was going to ask what the cutoff score was but I was in the moment and it slipped my mind. Good luck to the rest of you!

EOA, do you mind if I ask your score for getting in? I'm trying to get in for spring but am missing nurs 299. Wish they accounted for the midterm grade since I'm taking it in fall. If I do well on the HESI I'll be sitting at about an 88.85 missing that class.

Also curious as to know what is the initial of your last name in case they are callin in alphabetical order. Mines starts with 'S' and I have 93.27 points FOR SURE and I haven't received any calls, nor did I have any missed calls.

Their definitely not going in alphabetical order. I know someone who received a call yesterday and their last name started with W. Hopefully they resume making calls tomorrow, we'll have to wait and see.

I couldn't tell you my score, I never knew how to calculate it. These were my grades though,

BIOL 223 - A

BIOL 224 - pending (summer school)

BIOL 251 - A (2nd attempt)

MATH 126 - A

CHEM 108 - A

NURS 299 - A-

and I scored a 96.5 on my HESI.

My buddy had something similar except he had completed all classes with all A's, one A- on first attempts and scored a 96 on his HESI.

The initial to my last name is A, and my buddy's is N. He received his call 3 hours before me so it's definitely not in alphabetical order.

Thanks for the info. This gives is an idea of what the around about cutoff is. If this is the case and you got in with a class in progress and a second attempt class then that's awesome and according to your score and others posted in this forum I truly based on a stack ranking then many others should get their calls.

Like I said earlier my points are 93.27 and my friend has 92.06 and neither of us have received a call. We have both complete all our prereqs as well. And according to the grades posted from the gentleman that got in our scores are above that threshold. Ill check back in tomorrow and see if there are any new posts or if I myself may have some good news.
