I currently live in Texas and I am planning on moving to Las Vegas next year, maybe June or so. I will have 2 years experience as a registered nurse by then in L&D and Postpartum, and will have my BLS, ACLS and NRP. What is the market like there? I am a planner, so I am planning on flying there in March and staying for 5-6 days to visit a few hospitals and to get a feel for the area as a whole. Not new to the west coast or face paced life; I was born and raised in the Los Angeles area and I have family from Las Vegas, none of whom are nurses, unfortunately....just need a little input from Las Vegas nurses. I have visited Las Vegas before, but only twice. What other certifications (besides the Nevada nursing license and the ones I mentioned above) should I get for Nevada? THANKS!!!!!!!!!!:redpinkhe:nurse::redbeathe

When I had my son in Aug, both of my l and d nurses were travelers, so they can definitely use l and d nurses. As for your certifications, I was thinking about trying to get into and l and d and those were the only certifications i saw requested. Hope that helps! PS moving to vegas in june.... ouch its so hot!
