Current Touro University Students - Help RN Program

U.S.A. Nevada

I want to know if I already have a degree, will any of the general education requirements be waived? I know not the pre-reqs such as chem/ap etc., but like sociology? In addition, what times are the classes offered? Nights, days, every day, two days a week, three days a week? Do all of your classes have to be done prior to applying, starting, etc.? Do some of you work full time and go to school or part time? Help me with these questions as I want to get in for spring 2010 and at times it's nearly impossible to get a response or a call back from the school.

Thanks.

Hey, did you ever find out this information? I'd be interested in knowing answers to those questions also.

Which school campus are you asking about? I know about Touro Nevada if that helps. What do you mean by waived? While enrolled at Touro we will not be taking any general education classes. This program is an accelerated 16 month program which only focuses on the nursing classes required to obtain your BSN degree and the minimum requirement to apply is I think 2 years worth of undergraduate education. Admissions will look only at your pre-requisite courses. All classes follow a preset schedule (certain classes are offered during specific semesters) so there are no night classes and it is full time. Class times 3 hrs long and generally between 8:30-12pm for the first semester, with labs in the afternoon and classes 5 days a week. Some students do work part time, some work two jobs others do full time jobs, it really depends on how well you can manage your time. Yes, your classes need to be finished before you begin the program.

More information about the program can be find at my post here:

Let me know if you have anymore questions. Good luck!
