I took my NCLEX exam yesterday, I normally get time and a half but thought that I would be ok with 6hrs. I wasn't expecting to, but the exam ran for all 6hrs and I answered 200 questions, with only two back to back repeats (us students have been told that that means that you got the last question wrong) and then ran out of time. It never cut off for me.

What do you think the passing chances are for that? Does NCLEX take the amount of time you take to answer the question into account? I'm thinking I took to long answering which patient to prioritize first and those were 85% of my questions, so it just kept generating more and more questions.

What at do you think? Please help!

Hello well it does not matter if you got the last question right or wrong. Now what does matter is if the last 60 questions you got were above passing level, if one of the last 60 questions were below passing level then unfortunately you failed.... Best of luck!!

So, all I had to do was get 1 wrong out of 60? With 5mins left, it asked me 2 math questions that I'm sure I got wrong because I was trying to rush through the questions, seeing the timer. In the email that they send out afterward, they include a link for a brochure which says:

"When a candidate runs out of time beforecompleting the maximum number of items, the candidate will pass if their ability estimatehas remained above the passing standard forthe last 60 items. The candidate will fail if theirability estimate was below the passing standardfor any of the last 60 items. This, however, doesnot mean that you have to answer the last 60items correctly"

What does that even mean? I didn't have to answer all 60 right but if my ability estimate was below the standard for ANY of those 60, I failed. Doesn't that mean that you only had to get one question wrong? I'm more confused now than before I took the exam*cry*
