All I want for Xmas is to pass NCLEX-PN

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hey All

First post, but long time forum lurker!

So I scheduled to take my Nclex the first week in Dec. I graduated my nursing program in July but with California's board being extreeeemly slow in processing I just received my ATT earlier this month. The date is getting closer and my anxiety level is getting up there!

I want to hear from those of you who have recently taken it. What was the test actually like??? What was the majority of your content?? Any special tips?

In my nursing prog they utilized ATI and said that would really prepare us for NCLEX, can any of you who also used ATI attest to that! Does it prepare u? I took the ATI nclex predictor and passed with an 82% stating the probability of me passing nclex first attempt was 99%. I hope it true!

I have been using Saunders CD to practice test questions like 50 a day, reviewing things like lab values, major meds that I saw a lot of at clinicals like cardiac meds. And online ATI tools. I feel overwhelmed since I've been out of school for months now and haven't really been studying like I should have. (Total procrastinator)

Would like to hear your recent Nclex experiences, what you would recommend and how you studied. TIA

Update: took NCLEX yesterday. Test finished at 85 questions. I came home and tried the PVT and it did NOT let me re register for the test. From reading previous post according to this I passed! Fingers crossed it is accurate! Thanks for all the advice :)

I mostly studied from the Saunders comprehensive review book (green book). I utilized the CD that it came with and did the 100 practice questions a day and read all the rationales. good luck to you.
