HFCC: Fall acceptance, how many do they take per semester?

U.S.A. Michigan

I wish I had asked. I just spoke w/ Anna and she said my acceptance letter will be in the second batch they send out in April. That's still not a guarantee that I'll get in since they send 70 letters at a time.

That's why I need to know how many they actually take per semester. I would hate to get my hopes up and get postponsed til Winter.

Thank you for reading.

I need to take SOC 131 and PSY 253. Are you still technically allowed to take those at the same time as your nursing classes?

I wanted to get them done before I started.

Yes, you could. They do have them incorporated into their program of study, but I did what you plan to do. I'm currently in A&PII, Pharm, and Micro...but I've taken everything else. Turns out that I am going to take one more class with the program though because it is not considered full time at just 9 credits for the first semester. I have to find an EASY class, but I'm doing it for financial aid.

I had (well, I don't know if I can say, but you can PM me if you'd like) for PSY 253 last spring and it was FAST!!! Same amount of info in half the time, so literally in a 3 hour time frame, several times we would have more than 1 quiz and/or exam. But the review was immediately before it. If you can study, or at least have a decent memory, it's an easy A.

Wow, you have a heavy load right now. Why did you take Micro? I was told I didn't need that class??? I'll PM you about PSY. Thanks for telling me what to be prepared for.

It's HARD to find those 'easy' classes to fill up you F.A. obligation, so find one ASAP and register for it the VERY FIRST DAY. Once you are in the nursing program, though, you don't have to worry about that. Even though you may be carrying 9 credits, and some semesters, as low as 5 at a time, that rule no longer applies to you. Talk to somebody about that so you undertand and can explain to others.

MySimplePlan, what doesn't apply? Could you be more specific? The Associate Dean of Nursing told us in the informational meeting that they were working on trying to bypass that "part time" label. I wouldn't be able to get the full Pell because I wouldn't be registered for 12 credits. She said that they didn't look at the fact that you are actually in school more hours than a 12 hour credit schedule.

I would like some info on what I don't have to worry about, please. I don't want to have to take the extra class if it's not necessary.

To answer you, mybrowneyedgirl, I am taking Micro because I plan on pursuing my BSN when I'm done and since I've been on the waiting list for so long I figured I may as well go ahead with this class because I had 7 credits with just A&P(4) and Pharm(3), so with Micro being 5 credits, it gave me just enough for my full financial aid package.
