To everyone deciding on a school and working though those pre-reqs...

U.S.A. Michigan

I feel your pain! I have researched every college with a nursing program (ADN&BSN) within a 100 mile radius of Detroit... I've studied every application process thoroughly... Compared transfer credits... Even paid a few of the schools a visit.. Oh my goodness it's maddening!!! And it's become my obsession.. I'm determined to not worry about which school I go to any more, and just apply to all of them, and let them fight over me. :coollook:

Seriously though, if the process of just getting into a program is this nerve wrenching, what am I getting myself into if I actually do get accepted?

For now all I can do is take a deep breath, be patient, bust through the few pre-reqs I have left and see where this crazy road I stumbled upon takes me... I am both excited and scared as hell..

Thank you all for letting me vent. :)

Chem or Bio classes will not be available at HFCC for the spring or summer sessions. They are redoing and expanding the current science building.

Really? I knew they were doing the re-mod but didn't stop to think they wouldn't be having classes... :/ Thanks for the heads up!

I think that you can take Anatomy online in the summer. I did it last year. It wasn't as bad as you would think because EVERYTHING is online and you study at your own pace although you do have deadlines for tests. There is only one teacher that does the online classes. He is okay although he tends to talk a little too much sometimes in his notes to the class. All in all though the class was pretty decent. You do have to actually STUDY for the lecture tests not as much for the lab though. Just a suggestion if you don't want to have to take the summer off from Science.

Thanks for the info!

I'll most likely end up taking it online then, I may even attempt chem online too.....

I really dont want to put these classes off any longer than I have to, especially chem because I'm hoping to get on the waiting list this summer!

Also, are they still saying 12 to 18 months for the waitlist?

Last I heard the wait was longer than that. It was more so like 3 years :(

You should call the campus, I was told by a instructor in chem and bio that those classes were not going to be available for the spring and summer. But, I seen a poster in the bookstore they would be available during the spring and summer. That could be either a misprint or they are talking about 2012. It may be best to call an admin.

I'm going to! I've asked around and keep hearing different on this matter, I wanna hear it from the horses mouth! If I can't take those classes either on campus or online in spring/summer then I may have to take them elsewhere.... :uhoh21:
