  3. ER vs Trauma Nurse

All ER Nurses can get trauma patients. The difference is if you work at a trauma center you will see much more of it and usually keep the patient there instead of shipping them out.

I was looking a little more around the internet and it looks like nusing informatics is a nursing degree (which I assumes means its more valuable) and healthcare informatics is not a nursing degree. You can go into it with any bachelors. Someone plea...
  6. Nursing Informatics OR Healthcare informatics????

  12. Anyone on a block schedule?

Theres good and bad things about it. You can schedule further in advance since you know when youre working 4-5-6 months from now. It all depends who you work with. If there good people theyll switch with you and you can make anything work. It sti...
  13. Survey about med administration for a class

There should be a write in box to explain. Depending on what type of floor you work on effects a lot of questions. When i worked on a tele floor i absolutely did all those almost 100%. In an ER you take a lot more verbal orders. You know what the...
  14. Is LTC really a kiss of death for new grads?

I worked in dialysis for a year after school and when I applied to hospitals they counted me as a "new grad" as I had no hospital experience. It was a great learning experience for me but hospitals only care about hospital experience.
