   sounds like staff there need an inservice on palliative care and end of life care. do you have hospice or any other resource that would talk with the family? obviously, they're missing the boat somewhere (the family, that is)

   it is certainly one area in nursing where you can truly have an impact...you're involved in the care of the same families as they go through some of the toughest times in their lives. it is one of the most rewarding jobs in nursing you can ever have!
