Okay that is a tough one. But I think I would say to stick it out with the job you have. You were blessed to be working with encouraging nurses, at site day-care, a routine that works for you and your children. Get your experience and then you can tr...

Stick with it - you will graduate in 2 to 3 years depending on the program and the economy will have changed by then - hopefully for the better! You just got a great reminder why this is worth it!! Good Luck and keep plugging along!
I would say your only disadvantage is that you didn't go to school here and don't know anyone to network with. I wish you luck becuase the job market for new grads here is very tough and we are all moaning about it! Hope you are one of the lucky ones...

Just remember school is not what nursing as a career will be. You are learning and doing alot of jobs that nurses don't always have time to do and thank goodness for the CNA's and other nursing help do, but you have to know how to do them if you are ...

I think the programs depend on the area and type of school system, whether it is quarter or semester. Here in CA semester schools started between the end of August and first week in September with quarter schools at the end of September. Our ABSN sta...
