I don't think it's too late for you, people are retiring now around 67 years old. If you do the NCLEX now you could work for at least 10 years. It would bulk up your pension and give you a better retirement. Go for it!

California has to be one of the most difficult states to register with if you're a UK trained RN. You would probably have better luck in another state. Maybe reconsider your options. Good luck

Hi, there are a lot of other evaluation services. Here are a few other options.
One other thing with CGFNS , they will take forever but they do eventually get things done. As long as you have submitted everything they need.

Hi, get comfortable, it’s going to take a while. Just save up for your move while you wait. Oklahoma is nice , except for the heat and humidity in the Summer. Takes some getting used to.

There are some states that do not need SSN , Texas is one . The BON was fairly quick once all my documents were accepted by CGFNS and my CES was approved.
