I have enjoyed working as a nurse for a long time (over 25 years). I started at the bottom and gradually, after having three wonderful children worked my way up through school and hard work up the "Nursing Ladder". I am still taking courses and continuing my education. We are never too old to learn. I have had the pleasure of working with my favorite beings on this planet, babies and toddlers and kids of all ages. It has truly been a pleasure. I have "helped" safely deliver over two hundred miracles. As you can probably tell, I Love the little ones. I would have had ten myself, but I couldn't find a husband that wanted more than three !! I have lived on long island in NY state most of my life. I did venture out to live in upstate NY for a few years. Anyone who has lived on long island can most likely agree that when you leave the island for more than a year, the people back home seem a little bit crazy. (rumor has it that there is something in the water on the island that makes everyone a lil nuts !) I love to travel, see new sights and meet interesting people. I usually work four to five days a week. I spend my off time with my children(there all over 21 and hate to be called "children") and my two Grand Daughters who are six and one years old. I like to stay busy. I have read many of the stories shared here, and I would like to become a regular part of this website. Thank you allnurses for having me ! :)
