I will be 60 years old next week and have been licensed since 2/14/05 at 57. It wasn't easy but it was the best thing I have ever done. As far as I know, you can be licensed at any age. Lots of luck--it's a trip!!!

  6. should I be concerned about my daughter not menstrating?

Both of my daughters were over 14 yo when they got their period. They were also very athletic which I had thought was the reason. I wouldn't worry about it at this time, but if she has any other problems related to this then see a doctor. How does s...

I was 57 when I graduated in 12/05. I must admit that it took me longer than my younger classmates to find a job. I have been working in a child/adolescent crisis center since 4/06. The funniest thing I found was in my second interview when on of...
  9. If For One More Day.......

Psalm--I certainly don't think wishing for more time with your pet is stupid. I love the "Rainbow Bridge" story that speaks of us being greeted by our loving pets after death--wouldn't that be wonderful? There were times in my life when my family wa...
  10. If For One More Day.......

I have so often wished Ihad one more day or even one more hour. If I could chose only one person it would be my eldest daughter who died 5 years ago at the age of 29. We were estranged over her life style but she knew I would help her when she was r...

  12. Bipolar kids or bad parents?

I can see what a hot topic this is and as a nurse who works in a child/adolescent crisis unit would like to add my thoughts with what I have seen in my past 1 1/2 years. First of all, NO ONE disputes that there are actually children who have severe b...
  13. Low census policy at your hospital?
