Are Baylor positions easier or harder to get?

Do you think there is more or less competition for a Baylor position, as compared to a run-of-the-mill 12 hour position?

Honestly, a lot of facilities seemed to have or be eliminating baylor positions. I only know of one acute facility in my area offering them.

As for whether they're in demand...it really runs the gamut. Some nurses only sign up for weekends. Some would switch or trade every weekend if they could. It will really depend on the makeup of the unit and how flexible management is willing to be. JME!
