I can't open the above Excel link at the moment (to peek into the formula). The
PDF format however seems to be off by one day. To arrive on day 92, it looks like the last R2B is counted as day 0.
In the example:
- If completion of the last OBRA assessment (R2b date) was: January 1
- The RN Coordinator must sign the next MDS R2b date by (within 92 days): April 3
Accdg. to the RAI p2-16, 1st bullet
"The completion date of the Quarterly assessment must be within 92 days of the last MDS Completion Date (R2B) of the last OBRA assessment."
This can just be a matter of semantics but I interpret the last R2B should be counted as day 1. Thus, using the same example above:
- If completion of the last OBRA assessment (R2b date) was: January 1
- The RN Coordinator must sign the next MDS R2b date by (within 92 days): April 2
'can't comment on the accuracy of the LTCSbooks.com. It may be counting 90 days rather than 92?
When in doubt, contact your state RAI Coordinator.
