Going to start the AANAC RAC-CT class tomorrow...

Specialties MDS

:yeah:I was supposed to take the class last year, but things got put on hold because of budget and because I was new. So...my class starts tomorrow. I get to take a trip clear across the state and am going to be work, husband, and teenager free for four days! :yeah:

So...does anyone know how hard the tests are? I always get nervous about these things. My motel is supposed to have internet access, so I hope to check back here later tonight.

HEY Cotjockey, How did it go? let us know......;)

I passed all ten tests. The tests weren't bad...it helps that you get three chances to pass and that they let you know which questions you missed. The class was really good...I learned a lot. There are some things that I am going to have to change and some things that don't really need changed, but maybe refined.

I'm the first MDS Coordinator at my facility to survive more than a year in quite a while and everyone else on the team is pretty inexperienced too. This class was well worth the time and money. I wish I had been able to take it sooner. I think I got a lot more out of it taking it with a real live lecture than I would have just doing it online.

Great Job Cotjockey! I took the class in CA, July 15-18. They said you had 60 days to take the test............just need to find the time! They said at the end it prints off a certificate or lets you know if you passed or not? I do not have a printer at home so I am thinking I will take it at work.........that is another issue, at home or work...........TIME! lol Glad for you that you got it done and over with, now you can add RAC-CT to the end of your credentials!!! :yeah:

The tests really aren't bad and you get three chances to take each one. They let you know which questions you missed, so be sure to write the answers on paper before you do the test on the computer. I didn't get a certificate or anything to print...they are supposed to mail it within 14 business days after you pass.

Good luck!!!

Take full advantage of the AANAC forum, it's worth it's weight in gold in those times you need a fast and accurate answer to something. I have to recert by December and hope to attend the class in Dallas in Sep.

Take full advantage of THIS forum, too! You will get the same quality answers, without spending a dime!!:yeah:
