Where to take prerequisite courses online in MA?

U.S.A. Massachusetts

Hello all, I'm very interested in the accelerated nursing program at Umass Boston. However they have some prereqs that I have yet to take.

Anatomy and Physiology I 4 credits

Anatomy and Physiology II 4 credits

Microbiology 4 credits

Statistics 3 credits

Growth and Development (through the lifespan) 3 credits

Nutrition 3 credits

Social Behavioral Science Elective 3 credits

I'm trying to find the best place to take these classes online. I've been looking into Massbay, Bunker Hill CC, Framingham state...etc Just getting kind of overwhelmed.

I have a current full time job so taking classes in person will be tough. But I really want to make the career change to nursing.

Has anyone else taken the classes above online anywhere? Would prefer college in Mass so I can get in-state tuition but open to other ideas. Thank you in advance for your help.

Bunkerhill Community college offers most of their classes online. I believe Quincy college offers a few classes too. Only thing is that I assume labs will have to be done in person.

I have taken both A&P sections (with labs) online at the Clovis Community College (http://www.clovis.edu). It's been a great experience, and 1/2 price of any MA-based community college (even though I registered as an out-of-state resident online).

Quincy College has a Hybrid option for A and P- you do the lectures online but do the lab in person. I think this is a great option because it seems doing hands on labs is good idea for this course.

I also have a tonne of pre reqs and have no idea how I'll fit them all in. Good luck!

Pavolga- how do the exams work for the 100% online courses out of clovis?

You have approximately 5-6 online tests during the semester, and at the end of the semester you have to take a proctored comprehensive final. For the labs, you order required preparation materials, and then take and email pictures of your dissections. My kids were my OR techs for all of my lab dissections, and they loved it :)

Thanks for responding! My kid is 2.5 so the best thing he can do for Mama is be asleep while she's dissecting heh...I actually want to do A and P over the summer locally, but I'd be really happy to get Micro out of the way with Clovis if possible. Did you do Micro with them by any chance?

Also were there any issues transferring Clovis credits to MA programs? I get that it doesn't say online, but surely if you're living in say Boston, and the transcript is from Kansas, that raises some questions?

I do so appreciate you taking the time to respond, especially as a busy Momma.
