I was planning on attending Becker in the fall, has anyone attended or know anyone who has?

Hi my name is Tonya and I just finished Nursing 1 at Becker. What would you like to know about the program? I can tell you that Becker has a good program and I love the Nursing Department.

where do they do there clinicals? and do the classes fill fast? i still have to send my deposit but, i wasn't sure how much time i have.

hi jordon,

they have clinical at three sites: fairlawn, holly trinity and the jewish home for nursing 1. you will not find out where you are going for clinical until mid-semester. i did my clinical at fairlawn and absolutely loved it. the nurses were great and i cannot say enough good things about my clinical instructor cathy nazer. cathy really helped pull together what i was learning in class with what i was learning on the floor. for nursing 1 the clinical or at least mine was only 6 weeks long. starting in nursing 2 the clinical will go the entire semester. i think you have time to sign up for classes (nursing) however, i would suggest that you sign up soon. other classes do fill up quickly so if you have to be a full time student i would sign up as soon as you can. when picking out your classes for the health assessment lab and fundamentals lab, try to get into professor howe or teece's labs, if they are still open they fill up fast. all the lab instructors are great but those are the instructors i had and i like both of them. i just checked on the classes for you and the nursing classes still have 20 spots open. if you do have to take other classes i would suggest taking the math for meds class, it will help you throughout the entire program. if you have any other questions for me just ask.

Thanks Tonya for taking the time to look into that for me. I really appreciate it!!!! I'm not sure if I'll be going full-time because it seemed like I took a lot of the classes in the curriculum. I'm sending in my deposit tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have preference of class and maybe I will be able to choose the professors you recommended! Thanks again for your help!:)

Those that have gone there... can you tell me what days of the week are spent in class or clinical? I am looking for a rough schedule of what to expect. I have all prereqs done, so I needing just nursing classes,

Hi,

I have a question which I really wanted an answer for - I may be attending Becker College in January, and last week I went to a Foster The People concert where there was a lot of Marijuana smoke flying around. I'm really worried about the drug test. Can you guys tell me at which point before or during Nursing I should I expect to get drug tested? I did read that clinical wont start until about 6 weeks into Nursing I... so I was wondering.

Please don't judge... it just so happened that I had front roll sits and the concert was about 3 hours long.
