Should I send emails for jobs?

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone had any extra advice for landing a job? I have applied to just about every hospital in Baltimore. There are not very many jobs to apply to for new graduates. I have 1 to 5 applications in at each hospital. I was wondering if I could send emials to specific people at the hospitals, nurse recruiters, nurse managers etc? And also, does anyone know how I can find the names and emails for them?
I appreciate any info. I am graduating in 6 weeks with a BSN degree and am paranoid about not finding a job right away. I really hope I can have an offer before or very close after graduation; I want to do what I can to get a job.
