I was just wondering if any one had info re: FMH, wages, sign on bonus etc... Just moved here from Oregon. Loving Maryland! I'm a traveler, but am thinking about sticking around for a while. Any info would be appreciated!

Specializes in ED.

FMH - 269 beds. New grad hourly rate: $24.75. Sign on bonus paid for all units except OR and ICU $3600. Differentials: (I think) 25% weekend night, 20% night, 15% weekend, 10% 3-11pm shift. Benefits: $2000/yr for conferances, certifications, RN-BSN program by Notre Dame on grounds of FMH paid by hospital ($18,000 value), 33 vacation days/yr, 8 sick days/yr, pet insurance, Nurse:Pt ratio 5 or 6:1 (actually more like 7:1 on med/surg floors, 2:1 in ICU), health, dental, life insurances, Tuition reimbursement of $3000/yr, 403(b). Covered garage parking (free).

Overall, great hospital. Wonderful staff, helpful, nice pts. Discount in the cafeteria and the hospital has GREAT food (there's a change).

Thanks HAPPY DAY, I'm still traveling but will definately keep FMH in mind. My travel company has a non-competition clause so I won't be able to check FMH out until I am ready to stop traveling. So far I've worked in Cambridge & Hagerstown, and now I working in Winchester, VA. Still loving Maryland & surrounding areas.

Hi,

I'm currently a nursing student in my last year. I was wondering how do you get a nursing assistant job or PCT with frederick memorial hospital? I have only clinical experiences through school and really need some clinical experiences before graduation. Thanks!
