Question about RN Schools

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

Hi I have a question about Excelsior College. I am an LPN and almost completed an RN program but because of certain circumstances I did not finish. I was wondering if someone could give me information about the Excelsior program especially in New York or any information would be helpful. I have heard a lot of comments that it is a really difficult and expensive program. Every RN program is difficult, but if anyone is in the program or has just completed it, I would like your honest opinion. How long does it usually take to complete? All of my pre-reqs are done. I was wondering about both the Associates and the Bachelors program. Thank you so much!!!! Oh also I know there is a trick to this program as well...as far as for Financial Aid. Is it cheaper to apply directly through Excelsior or College Network????? Would anyone please help? Thanks again!

Can no one give me first hand information about Excelsior College? I would like to know if anyone attended? Likes, dislikes....any info please! Thnk you so much!

Have you checked out the Distance Learning forum here? There is lots of info and discussion there on Excelsior.

Also, College Network is a publishing company that does nothing but provide some study materials for the Excelsior program. Going through them will cost you a lot more in the long run than just going through EC directly. If you really want the College Network materials, you can often find them used and cheap on eBay.

Best wishes.
