Hey All!,

Sooo, I have my first Med Surg I test tomorrow morning over 8 chapters; and to be honest, I know that there is a strong probability that I will not be passing the test. Its not that I don't have the ability; its just SO MUCH INFORMATION plus there will be the NCLEX style questions (which I need to re-learn how to answer). I took notes but didn't record the lecture. However, there are powerpoints for each chapter covered. When I printed them off, they were more of a hindrance for me than a help because it instantly became overwhelming;I forgot that I even had notes from lecture to draw from! I tried to do what she said which was to take notes over what was lectured on and be mindful of the boxes but, THERE ARE A LOT OF BOXES WITH A TON OF INFORMATION. I ended up with A LOT OF NOTES and unable to finish all the chapters. Then, I watched a video on YouTube about putting multiple questions on a note card; and I did that. However, at this point ITS A LOT TOO LATE. I just went through this last week with my OB class with regard to note taking; I failed that test (and so did the majority except for those who are repeating it), but knew quite a bit of the information. I KNOW I HAVE TROUBLE WITH NARROWING A BROAD AMOUNT OF INFORMATION into something manageable and I HAVE TROUBLE WITH UNDERSTANDING WHAT THE QUESTION IS ASKING ME, NOT KNOWING THE ACTUAL INFORMATION (when I study the information in a reasonable amount of time).

From my point of view as the student, EVERYTHING RELATED TO WHAT SHE LECTURED ON IS IMPORTANT, SO I WRITE IT DOWN which leads to massive amounts of notes that have tons of information THAT CANNOT BE RELISTICALLY RETAINED. I know that I didn't prepare well for this test tomorrow and that's my fault because I'm having an issue with time management with regard to class days and work days. However, I KNOW I CAN PASS THIS CLASS AND PASS IT WELL. I KNOW THIS WITHOUT QUESTION. I also know that I NEED HELP WITH NARROWING DOWN MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF INFORMATION INTO "NEED TO KNOW" INFORMATION AND "RE-LEARN" HOW TO ANSWER NCLEX QUESTIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME? I AM LESS THAN 9 MONTHS AWAY FROM GRADUATION AND I REFUSE TO RETAKE THIS OR ANY CLASS.

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE?
