Reading about everyone in school & taking the NCLEX makes me want to be in school so bad. I was about to take the NCLEX when a few months before I found out I was pregnant (it was very unplanned but we're excited). I had been putting off school to try to work full time. But I finally was gonna go back to school to bridge. Now my life has done a 180 & I had to delay school another year because the program starts in the fall, a month after I'm due. I have a bunch of support but since it's my first child I want to be there for my baby. But I can't wait to be in the program. I have to take the TEAS test (get a 68% or higher) but I am so determined to get in that I will be studying my behind off to make sure I get in & stay in! Good luck to everyone in nursing school & taking the NCLEX. Hopefully I'll be there soon!!!

Same here. I can't wait!

I have been a LPN since 2010, and even though my plan was to go straight for the RN afterwards life got in the way. I'm finally getting started this summer and will begin my pre-reqs for the ADN program at a community college. I know how you feel-I can't wait to be back in school! As exhausting as my LPN program was, I loved the intellectual stimulation. I'm working in a dermatology clinic and assisted living now and while I'm grateful to be working as a nurse, it's really mundane and I feel like I've lost so much of the knowledge I gained while in school. I would love to go straight back into nursing courses but unfortunately that is not an option. How crazy is it that I actually miss writing care plans?! But I'm excited to be back in the classroom, even if it's just my gen-ed classes and pre-reqs. June can't come soon enough!

I got my license in 2010 as well. I continued to finish my prereqs after nursing school. I tried applying to bridge programs but never got in. I was studying my booty off for the TEAS test at a local community college but had to delay taking the test since I got pregnant & it hasn't been an easy pregnancy. So hopefully at the end of this year I can take the TEAS & apply for the 2015 Fall program. Good luck to you!

Not yet. I'm thinking of MAYBE doing excelsior. I'm still stuck on what school to go to.

I looked into EC but knowing I have to do that three day capstone/clinical at the end is more than my nerves can handle.

It scares me too. But I follow the facebook page "let's conquer the CPNE beast" and I'm amazed at the folks who show that white paper and pass every weekend. I just say to myself if you really want it, than go for it. Just gonna think positive!
