If you have a copy of the syllabus from your program, go through it, read the book, take notes as if you were still in and if you are inclined do drug cards. There are a plethora of posted syllabi and course supplements all over the Internet so I would use them. Get as much A&P and pathophysiology mastered now while you have the time for it. Good luck!

Thank you so much I will keep in touch if I need any more advice. I plan to do just that study everyday available until I re-enter the program so I will have a handle on A&P and Micro.

I think you really need to be talking to the instructors for the classes you failed. Sit down with them and get their feedback on what they feel your weaknesses were. Tell them what you did to study and prepare for exams, and they can tell you where your techniques might be deficient and point you toward some better resources or hook you up with an associates or BSN student for mentoring/tutoring.

An important tip:

A HUGE thing is to be taking advantage of ALL the resources your textbooks offer, whether it be on the publisher's website or on the disc that comes with your book. I can't tell you how many people I know who NEVER open the disc that comes with their books, and I can't emphasize enough how truly useful those resources are. There's usually chapter podcasts, interactive quizzes, flashcards, NCLEX question banks, etc. Do yourself a huge favor and use them.

MrsCuoco I did use the disc in the book and registered online I know one of my issues was cramming the night before test, I feel behind I. My reading and could not catch up because we test literally everyday. I did sit down with my instructor and she said, " you are very smart and currently you have a lot going on in you personal life but you can Do this so don't give up this is just a road block and you will over come it". So I had to reapply to the school hopefully I get back in with the February class but if not September it is and I will prepare myself until them. Thank you for your input it was some valid points and I grew with you use all the resources available.
