Hello everyone!

I went to the info meeting yesterday for the new VN program and thought I would get one of these blogs started up. I'm sure we all have lots of questions!

Thanks. Are the clinicals still only at nursing homes?

So happy to have found this forum I just moved here from Chicago and plan to apply for the fall 2018 LVN program at TCC. What is the schedule going to be like 1st semester?

Also best wishes to all of you who were accepted im very excited for you all and I hope you all get some awesome instructors instructors can make or break the experience

Hello, can someone accept my request to join the Facebook page? Im under Albert thanks

I am Also applying for the fall 2018 program! I just registered for my Hesi and am getting so nervous! I still want to work as a PCT during he semester so hopefully I can work around it , I think I can because I work nights 7-7 a.m anyway , I have a C in A&P 1 and a B in Psychol I hope I get a high Hesi score and I also see me being a Tech gives me credit so let's see! Anyone have any advice or overview of how the curriculum is set up for the program?

Please add me to the group ,my name is Cla'aron Batiste via Facebook

Hello, I just found out that they only allow student to take the required classes for 2 times. I took AP1 twice, I dropped out from the class the first time and the second time I got a C. I got an A in PSYC and I haven't take the HESI yet. I know I will have no chance for the RN. Do you guys think I will have any chance with a C and an A if I get a really high HESI score? I'm so frustrated right now and is there any backdoor to get to RN beside this program?

Hello,

You do need to have PSYC, however the grade that you received is not considered when applying. The only look at your Hesi score and A&P 1 grade. When did you drop A&P the first time? How long has it been? After 5 years they drop off and you can take it again. The only "backdoor" is to maybe apply to a different college that doesn't consider the grade in the decision like Chamberlain College of Nursing, or something like that.

Good luck with everything!!

Hi everyone, I am so happy to find this group. I am a CNA/Medication Aide, have a B in Psych and now doing A&P (hopefully i make an A). Do i still need to take the HESI if i am a CNA? I want tp apply 2018.

Yes Hesi is required

I also have a C in A&P and am nervous about that too! I believe I have a B or A in psychology

Apparently I was kicked out of the facebook group you made for the LVN program of 2017 ?? Why is that? I am literally applying for the Fall 2018 semester PCT to LVN and wanted advice and suggestions from people who are accepted so we all can be successful together ... I am offended and can't wait to prove that I will get into this program , I will request again but I seriously think it was rude that I was kicked out for asking for advice
