I am struggling in school, I don't test well and I just failed my second exam! I am worried I may flunk out, and I worked so hard to get here. My instructor said there is still time to get my grades up, but I have been studying very hard! Does anyone have any study techniques that have helped them? I don't know what to do :(

Well if it makes you feel any better I also have failed my 2nd exam today no matter how hard I study I can't make it to the 70s I stay with 60 test scores :( the teacher makes test with questions that are no where close to what she lectures on.

Well how do you learn? There are multiple online quizzes you can take that will tell you what type of learner you are, and then they will give you some ideas on how to use that particular style to your advantage.

For example, I am an auditory learner. I can't use those silly flashcards all my other classmates are using for Pharm, because I don't retain anything....I'm not that kind of learner. I record all my drug info into a voice recorder and listen to it over and over. And when it comes to learning skills for check offs, I don't practice doing it myself...instead I sit by the bedside and listen to my classmates go over step by step what needs to be done, and how we need to talk ourselves through it. But again, this works for ME.

Start with finding out what kind of learner you are, and things might look a little better. Good Luck!

I took my first A&P exam, failed but took the second one today and passed even with minimal studying time. I started studying two days beforehand, then the day before I watched Khan Academy videos to reinforce myself. Like a PP said, it depends on what type of learner you are.

A&P? Are you in a nursing program? I know those were very tough classes I had a doctor teaching mine.
