Hello! I took out $20,000 in Private Student Loans to cover child care expenses and whatever the unsubsidized Stafford Loans wouldn't cover, which was about half of my tuition and expenses. Whatver is left I am using towards child care expenses and bills. I went through "The Educated Borrower" for my Private Student Loan. It's on Full Deferral until 6 months after I graduate. The interest is higher than it would be through a federal loan program but due to my husband's income, we don't qualify for very much federal assistance at all (ie, no pell grants or subsidized loans). If you are of a fairly low income or are a single mother, you also might want to check with your school for a list of government places that provide childcare expense assistance for you while you are in school. In most cases, that money will not have to be repaid. When I finished my Associates in Business Degree, I was a single mother and the government paid for almost all of my now 9 year olds child care expenses. At that time, I also qualified for WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) and got some information from the WIC office as well as to who, what, when, where to call. Good luck and God Bless!! If I can be of further assistance, please let me know. Thanks.

PS - I tried to send this through to you PM, but it says your PM quota has been exceeded.
