LPN through tech. school

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

Hi, 24 years old. I currently work in the anesthesia department at my local hospital. I considering a career in healthcare. I am looking to pursue for a second degree or a masters degree down the road once I know where to go. I am testing for my EMT and hoping to go for my AEMT, ACLS. and PALS next year. Our state no longer runs LPN programs. Only two technical institutes run the program on September for a year. Wondering if worth pursuing.

Few questions. The program is as long as going for your associates in Paramedic studies. With paramedic studies you receive college credits. Is there benefits taking at a technical institute?

The hospital I work at only hires LPN'S outside of the hospital in their clinical offices. So the choices are limited. Where can you go from LPN?

Obtaining an associates in Nursing at the community college is $16,000 with books and clinicals. The entire LPN program is $8,000. Is that an average cost?

Appreciate the response
