Low GPA in High school

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

Ok, so I have a low GPA from high school because I did not apply myself , and I am very bad at math and science. Is there anyone who has the same issue, but still made it into a LPN program?

I was in the same boat. To be honest it depends where you are thinking about taking the LPN program. If you do the private school route you can definitely get the LPN prep exam books they will go though what to expect with and practice exams. I did that and buddy up with my super smart boyfriend to crash tutor me in the math. If you do the college route you take the placement exam and hope you pass the math just enough (it's algebra and arithmetic) so you don't have to take a unnecessary extra math class. Then to meet the math requirement you just take medical math which is SUPER easy and in real world nursing is what you will be needing. The science you will have to take ap1 and 2 no matter what so you don't have to stress. I hope this help. Good luck!

Thanks! I am definitely looking into some extra classes and tutoring

I am pretty sure nursing programs don't look at your grades from high school and only focus on your prerequisite scores. And I am also sure there are practice tests online to take to prepare yourself :) Good luck!
