Can someone tell me what an IV certified LPN\LVN can actually do regarding IV's?

1. Start an IV.

2. Assess an infiltration?

3. Hang NS?

4. Hang antibiotics?

5. Hang other meds?

6. Give pre-op medications?

7. TPN?

I am in AZ. I know this may be state by state, but from your perspective.

Alternatively, how do you go about asking your state board these types of questions?

Thanks.

Found it.... Sent an e-mail to azbn.gov, then spoke to a very helpful lady: Judith M. Pendergast RN, JD

Nurse Practice Consultant of the Arizona State Board of Nursing. She directed me to this document for Arizona.
