Congratulations! As a 31 yr old mom of 3 in nursing school, my best advice to you is to spend the next six months or so really putting in as much quality family time as you can with your kids. Go to the beach, take them camping, hiking, to the park, ect. Last year I was in the exact same position as you (I was also VERY ready for a break from being a stay at home mom) and I did all of those things. These days, I dont see my kids much at all and it breaks my heart. Its the toughest part of nursing school, for me... having to choose between studying and time with my family is really really tough. There have been days where I had to walk out and shut the door (leaving them in a room w/ my husband) and listen to my little girls crying and banging on the door because they wanted to be with me, because I had a huge test the next day and I had to get a few hours in before the end of the day. There are also times when I did badly on a test because i chose to open that door and spend time with the kids instead of on my schoolwork. Granted I am also working weekends which makes it a bit tougher, but I would have to study here if I did not do it at work.

Its the greatest journey I've ever taken, and I have learned that I am so much stronger than I ever gave myself credit for. I love nursing school and I will love being a nurse just as much, but its definitely a sacrifice. Worth it, but a sacrifice none the less. Welcome to this incredible journey we're all on to better ourselves and make a difference in people's lives! :)

Thanks for the advice. I will take it to heart. My girls are my life so I will do something to make this easier for them.

Cong!!!! I still remember the day i found out that i got accepted into the nursing program.

I don't feel like in Xmas, but i feel like to take off all my clothes and run nude!hahhah

CONG!

I know what you mean. I felt like doing cartwheels in the school building but decide not to because I am not as young as I used to be!!! Thanks for thesupport!!!:nurse::monkeydance:
