How do I get back after I failed my NCLEX?

Graduated at the end of march, studied, took NCLEX beginning of June and failed. My school was part of the Kaplan program and I was able to practice with Q-bank questions and participating in the online class review. A big part of it was my confidence (or lack of) and I hate to say this but it's like I had that "hindsight" feeling that things weren't supposed to go well the first time. Anyhoo, after I found out the news, I contacted state and registered for my test, ordered the "PN course book" from Kaplan and didn't study...

I was originally planning on taking it this month (july) but thought it would be too soon and I didn't want to rush it again so I'm aiming for August. I feel like I had to get away from the material... almost forget it so when I do go back and studied, I'm much more motivated, focused, and am much more willing to learn. It is now July 11 and I'm just trying to get back into the groove of things. Any advice on how to study? I know I need to review the content and practice questions but just going about it is the hard part... advice please!

OH, also - during clinical, someone suggested I apply for jobs right away. It officially takes 90 days for them to really get what they want from you. I know many friends that have done this but not sure if this is appropriate since I didn't take NCLEX yet?

Officially takes 90 days to do what? There is no specific amount of time that an emloyer will spend in the hiring process.

You can start looking for a job now but given the current economic conditions they're more likely to hire someone with an active practice license.

Book your exam time and set yourself a study schedule. Stick to it.
