Has anyone heard of either of these LVN Vocational schools...

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

1.) American Career College

2.) The Preferred College of Nursing

-If so, can you give me any feedback.

I live in Los Angeles and am looking for a great LVN vocational school program.

Any input would be great.

Thank you

I have heard of american career college. I was actually planning on attending that school but the cost is to expensive its about 31,000 for the fulltime class and more for the parttime lvn program I know there pass rate is 74%. Preferred college in los angeles pass rate is 80% I hope that is helpful.

Thank you for your response. American Career College told me they had a 98% pass rate. Maybe that was for '07?! Either way, they are too expensive but I liked their facility. For some reason I am a little skeptical about "The preferred nursing college" but i guess I should visit the campus. Maybe I will just go to community college and spend an extra year and save $20,000...lol

one way or another I will get my certification! ha

i did my research on schools before going and i actually went to 5 schools and picked the best one. Go here to know all schools in the area http://www.bvnpt.ca.gov and click schools or education. U can view all schools in california, phone # and addresses and even the accurate passing rate. Personally i wldnt go to preferred if i have another option. Ya they will make u pass by repeating if u fail but the question is will u pass boards? Try looking at casa loma college or marian college. Im not sure where u live. Can we do private message here?

Hi... I am a new graduate of American Career College... and a board passer as well :specs: ... ACC - Anaheim were very accomodating... curriculum was really hard but the instructors are good. 98% passing rate holds true for Anaheim campus... Ms. Stoner our 4th term instructor is the best! She gives excellent review class for the boards. I do not know how other schools train their students for the nclex-boards but ACC has their own Nclex lab where all graduates study and takes practice exams anytime they need to. they even give money incentives for first time board passers!:w00t: I just went there last week to get my bonus from career services (clever idea) which in turn pushes you and helped you create your resume so they can send it to prospective employers! (aren't they great?!)

Well, whichever path you decided to take, I wish you all the best and may God bless you...
