Bad School Interview.....here is the scenario. (sort of long)

I am 27 years old. I graduated high school in 1999 (barely). I tested good on the Net, I got a 90 on math and a 89 on the reading, even the interviewer said my scores were great. A 50 would have been passing. That was the first thing she told me. Then she went on to tell me about how the course worked as far as absences and time off.....she could have saved alot of time by just saying "we own you for the next 11 months, if you are not on time, don't even show up". Which I understand! Then she brought up my high school transcript.....which is 10 years old. She said "I noticed you had alot of absences" I knew what she was talking about, I skipped probably 90% of the 10th grade, but still graduated on time even though I failed 5 classes and had to take them over. My high school gpa sucks...like a 2.0, I had tons of abscenses, tardies, poor grades......I was a terribly wild teenager and I told her in my words: " I was a stupid teenager dealing with family issues and school was not where I wanted to be at the age of 15-16. But I did graduate on time with my class, even though I was not really there for most of it."

Moving on - in 2007/2008 I took a couple of college classes (like 2), one was Accounting and the other a computer class. I scored A's in both classes......barely any missed time.

So from the start: I have a poor high school transcript, barely any college classes, but the ones I do have are excellent, worked from day 1 of graduation for 3 years (got laid off due to state budget) moved on to another job and have been there for 7 years and still there. So that shows some stability.

I am married, no kids....so that may look good to them by not having alot of things to deal with.

My work references are beyond excellent. I dressed good for my interview, hopefully I answered the questions they wanted me to answer, and my net scores were high.

What do you think my chances of getting in are? Anyone have a past experience like this? I will not find out for 2 weeks and I am going to to insane bt then.

They only admit 30 a year, but most of the time they don't even admit 25, because the pick and choose the best of the best and if there are not 30 that they think can swing it....they won't even give you a shot.

your current performance is a perfect example of how you have overcome the obstacles in your life. HS was a decade ago, how many folks know squat when they are 15/16?

current references, work Hx, a stable marriage, and decent colleg grades are demonstrations that you are on track in life. I wouldn't even consider HS performance.
