Hello,
I was just hired by a nursing home, to work in a temporary registry position. What does this mean? I am going to ask but thought I would start here. I am required to work at least 8 days a month. I know what registry is but is temporary mean it is a short term position or could it mean because I will be floating and being temporary in different wings of the nursing home (it is huge) with each wing having different levels of care. When I was hired at first he said it is registry and then temp. He refers to it as both. Just curious on others thoughts. Either way, I am excited about the position. Thanks!

I worked temp registry as a CNA. An outside company hired me to work in a specific hospital they had a contract with.
I'm not sure how a person would be hired registry that was the same entity as the hospital.
I assume that means you are per diem.
When I worked it definitely wasn't short term. The word temp meant they had no long term obligation to give me hours. But I worked 2-4 days per week for about 2 years.
HTH!
