:nono::nono: i take quite a bit of time charting and wont change it after it is done. if they ever get audited they are at risk for losing their funding. surly everyone isn't charting she requires assist when she don't... i say run
i work at a rehab /ltc facility and im pretty new there .i was recently approached by a nurse who advised me that to stop charting that my residents are independent when they really are!!! it seems the administrator and managers had a meeting and she said that the facility gets more money when we chart that they need help rather being independent.i thought that was really strange and i am ready to leave that facility based on that statement.i understand the logic, but disagree with the untruthfulness and it makes me question one thing, and thats integriy.has anybody been told this????

i agree with everyone else, i would never let anyone compromise my license by asking me to chart something that wasn't true. i thought the whole aspect of nursing was to keep people at thier optimal functioning level, not about how to get the most money you can for the facility. it's fraud, the chart is a legal document.
