Hi! I'm a second courser taking up Nursing in Manila. I have just started studying Nursing this semester.
Looking at my course curriculum, it shows that it will take me like three years to finish the course - with respect to the prerequisites. That I think is too long for me. I'm a single parent solely supporting my son, and I just lost my dad two weeks ago. I still have two sisters who are studying. So I'm strongly-determined to finish the course and get hired quick.
I am now wondering what if i just shift to Licensed Practical Nursing. There's this school in Makati that offers the course. And it is for 1year only. My question is, Does the US employ LPNs from the Philippines like they would Nurses? What are my chances of getting hired as LPN against my chances if I were a Nursing graduate?
Please help me make up my mind.
