Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

i had my dream interview friday, at a group ob/gyn. what i need to know is how to decipher what went on in the interview. i thanked her for the interview and said that ob/gyn was the field i wanted to be in since i started nursing. but the rest is a blur, except that my exposure to e chart is small but since i have using a computer since the mid 80's I can sit down to any program and figure it out quick.

she asked me if i was working and said no, then she commented on that there was no 2 week notice needed. she told me then that they had three others to interview and i must have registered dissapointment because she said that she was not traditional that actually someone who hadn't been working is a benefit to them because they could be molded to fit their organization.

but when we were talking about my last job ( i was a lpn to a student with a seizure disorder and taught remedial read and math) i told her how they just threw me into that and how I used my prep time to create packets of material on my own to use to teach them.

so what are your impressions of this interview? the only handicap i can think of is that i have weight to deal with and i have been biased against several times. they won't even acknowledge my application at the hospitals in centralia and olympia.

It can be hard to tell how an interview went. On the other hand I can always tell if they liked me and if I left the interview feeling good about it that means to me that I stand a good chance at getting the job.

Either way I will keep my fingers crossed that you got the job. I wish you the best of luck!

i didn't get it... no ob/gyn experience. it took me 2 years of job hunting to get the lpn job at the elementary school i had for 1 year. i think its going to be another long two years again. it ****** me off so bad that i bust my butt for a year, with a picc line in my right arm and i still graduated, only to get nothing where as there are people who get their degree and boom get a job. i guess i am just too fat and ugly to get a job.
