I waited about 5 weeks to have my $150 cashed by bvnpt for my license after submitting my papers. I am really wondering how long it took for them to put your name in the bvnpt online verification site.

the wait is driving my crazy.

Me too I went personally to sacramento and pay them I went there last june 19 till now my name is still not there. :(

Aww, did they at least cashed your $150 out?

Yeah i pay them cash actually.

I went and paid my fee in Sacramento (6 hour drive) on May 13th. I paid with a money order... and still haven't gotten my license. I called/emailed and was told that my fee was "cashiered on June 18th" and that it takes "4-6 weeks from the date your document and fee was received". (I paid them, IN PERSON, almost 8 weeks ago!!!!!)

I have a temporary certificate to work, so I've applied and been offered two part-time positions, but my certificate expires July 13th.. So I'm worried that my official number won't be posted before the temp certificate expires.

I call and get empty promises - I e-mail and get short, inaccurate time estimates (aka LIES) or no response at all. I'll post again when I get my license number...

Oh my gosh!!!!! That's a long waiting!!! I don't have job interviews yet. My friend of mine went to Sacramento too. She paid personally by cash. She got her name in website and physical license with in 2 weeks. Yes with in 2 weeks!!!! Gosh!!!!!!!! I have no career yet!!! :(

Whew...

After calling the BVNPT twice, having my supervisor call, emailing three times, and filing a complaint with the DCA... My license number was posted last night. I will NOT say thank you - the board being "backlogged" with applications because they're understaffed is NOT an excuse. It should not have taken 57 days to be issued an official license.

You can call the BVNPT number and ask if your payment has been cashiered. If you can, call in the morning when they open (around 8am). They will "estimate" your wait time to be 4-6 hours, but I've gotten through in 30-45 minutes every time. They will tell you when your payment was cashiered (I paid with a money order on 5/13 and it wasn't cashiered until 6/18). THEN they tell you it takes 4-6 weeks from the time your payment was cashiered. It took 3 1/2 weeks AFTER my payment was "cashiered", 7 1/2 weeks from the day I paid the fee in person.

I'm really going crazy now!! :(

My personal timeline, many moons ago:

1. Took NCLEX-PN on December 28, 2005

2. Received my passing result in the mail on January 9, 2006

3. Mailed a copy of my passing result with a check to the BVNPT on January 9, 2006

4. My name and license number appeared on the BVNPT website on January 20, 2006

5. The hard copy of my LVN license arrived in the mail on January 27, 2006

I let my license expire thinking I wasn't gonna work in CA again now I want in, I called the board to see how long it will take they said 4 to 6 weeks that kinda sucks Im just endorsing from another state:arghh:

I am endorsing from CA to IL. I had to send in a verification of licensure form into the BVNPT to fill out and mail back to me to submit with my application to Illinois. It takes 5 weeks for your payment to be even cashiered. Nothing gets done with your paperwork until this happens. I am a military spouse and even was able to get the process expedited and it still took 6 weeks. The BVNPT is waaay behind. I had called and spoke to someone from there and she said that they were 11 weeks behind. When I originally got licensed in CA it took around 6 weeks from the time they got my info after passing the NCLEX. If you are starting from the day I mailed in all of my paperwork to get licensed in CA, including waiting on my ATT, scheduling my test, passing, and mailing back everything it took around 5 months. Good luck to you! I know it takes forever but try to be patient!

I recently took my Nclex PN on July 8th got my pass letter on August 1st and sent off my check and signed letter to them August 3rd. It is now September 5 and I still have no license number and they still have not cashed my check!! very frustrating.

One of my classmates recently called and got through to the bvnpt and asked how much longer and they told her they were still processing mail from July 28th. And they received her check and letter august 3rd. And said it would be another 2-4 weeks for her !

Considering she took her exam 3 weeks before I did, I'm looking at another 4-6 weeks. Ridiculous!!

I really need to start working and make some money. I heard you can get a temp license by going out to sacramento is this true? i would make the trip.. someone please answer! I have tried calling the board but I can never get through.
