Is anyone applying to the LSU Traditional BSN program for Spring 2013? I haven't applied yet but plan on doing so. I'm really nervous, I have gone to a couple different schools so I think that my cumalitive GPA is around 3.13 but... Read More

No, I have not submitted my application yet. I am still working on my essay which is stressing me out! I was reading last year's posts from students who were applying for spring of 2012 and they conducted two interview days, I think separated alphabetically by last name. They had one set in september and another set in mid october and they notified by the end of october/early november. I'm concerned because my friend's wedding that I'm a bridesmaid in is late september and I have a flight for it already. Also I have plans in October set up as well. I also read that they weren't too flexible with dates either you make the interview time or you don't and if you don't it's very likely you won't get accepted since the interview is based on a percentage on who gets accepted. Thankfully my friend's wedding is on a Friday so if I have to I'll just have to change my flight to fly out that night and as far as October commitments I would just cancel and lose $100. When do you plan on bringing in your application? I plan on by Monday, but I'm just so nervous that my statement essay will never be good enough.

I was freaking out about this too! I printed out a copy of my HESI results and brought it to an information session at the campus about two weeks ago. I showed them the code on the printout and they said it was correct. However, they said there was no way to call in and confirm that the HESI score is visible from their end. I'm glad I wasn't the only one worried about this!! I think it should be ok though. You can always call Evolve and make sure.

Oh my god, KristenNola I am in the same boat right now! I have a wedding in Mexico the first weekend in October. I have two other weddings in September and I have not booked flights for these because I'm fairly certain I won't be able to attend one of them due to this interview. I REALLY wish they could have set aside at least two solid weekend dates instead. I know it's not as easy at it seems...but I'm nervous enough about this whole thing as it is! I have not submitted my application yet either and I feel the same way about my statement. It's awkward to write about yourself and something you've worked so hard for. It's a delicate balance between heartfelt, relaxed, approachable and professional. I'm sure your statement is GREAT!!!

What I'm really worried about is if that transcript request sheet is attached to one of my transcript letters. What sucks is that we're not allowed to open the envelope to check. :-(

However, the school did say they put it in there...I'm still worried though.

Wait are we supposed to have a transcript request sheet with each transcript??? because i dont I just have the sealed transcripts from each school i attended...

@pearlypearly You just need the sealed transcripts. I don't know of any school that would stick anything else in the envelope except the transcript itself. The request form is just a tool LSU provides to get everything together for a complete application

As a recent LSU SON graduate, my advice is to just breathe! You guys will be fine and I'm sure your personal statements will be great. As far as the interview dates, you probably won't find out for a while. There's 2 interview days. Both on a Saturday. As far as I know, it isn't done alphabetically. There were last names ranging from A to Z on both days. And when we had to interview the hopefuls, we didn't find out til maybe a few weeks before. You guys should be fine though. Everything will work out great. Good luck!
