Has anyone applied to Charity School of Nursing Fall 2010. Hope all whom applied gets in...including me!!!! The wait is killing me, and reading the post about people not getting in with 4.0 gpa's is scaring me.

I applied for Fall 2010 as well. I have a 4.0 and got an 84 on the TEAS. I had someone from the school contact me awhile ago making me get course descriptions for my past courses (taken out of state) and they were telling me I still needed classes that were clearly on my transcripts. This made me nervous that they were not reading the transcript properly! I still haven't heard yay or nay yet either. It's killing me checking the mail everyday! Are they to be mailed out soon?

They also called me when I sent in my app. because I openned my transcripts and wanted me to send them again.

I went to an out-of-state school before Charity, I'm starting in Jan. They tell you when you send in the app. that you should include all of the discriptions from the courses that are required for the nursing degree (that you took out-of-state or other schools) so they can send them to the deans of that department to get them "accepted" by them to make sure they are similar to what Delgado teaches.

When I went to advising, they told me they were still looking for an elecive for me to make sure I had everything....I have almost 200 credit hours and an art minor, which I think this was for humanities or something, so she told me that they could find something to fill in that spot....there is no feeling like getting accepted and then finding out you may not have everything that you thought you had. I haven't heard anything so I guess it was ok.

I got my letter today(12/16/2009). I got in!!!

Congratulations you two! Have fun getting all the required stuff done. I would start as early as possible. The wait and the semester before is the hardest part.

Yippey! I got my acceptance letter yesterday as well. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I still have to take A&P, though. Delgado better offer A&P II in the summer. That's the only way this is going to happen.

Hi everyone!! I just got my acceptance letter for Fall 2010. This is my first time applying :yeah:I got an 87 on the TEAS but my GPA is only a 3.4. I dont understand how they pick because a friend of mine has a 3.9 but only got a 72 on the TEAS. I wish everyone good luck if you haven't gotten your acceptance letter and can't wait to meet everyone in the FALL as we track through this life changing experience known as nursing school!!
