I mean not to offend ANYONE with this post. I have come in efforts to get advice from REAL people without a fee attached on how to start out as a LNC. I completed a course through Ohio University and am now ready to begin pursuing this seriously. I did begin a little last year by sending maybe 20 introduction letters to attorneys in Cleveland, Ohio. My responses ranged from "we have an RN on staff" to just no response at all. I have been toying with the idea of the markering packet, but with no case experience what do you put in it? Is it just a glorified resume in that case? I just don't know how to start out now that I am truly ready to dedicate myself to this. Can anyone help me with this without directing me to Vickie Mallazzo or offering help for a fee. Am I being unrealistic in asking this?

hello, nursenikki96 and welcome to allnurses.com

nice to have you with us.

i gather your lnc program did not prepare you and/or include templates to get started in your career? some do not.

as for not wanting to be "directed" to the vickie milazzo program, i'm not sure what you mean? you would have to be a member of the naclnc in order to partake of any of the templates offered there.

but, if you are wanting guidance on how to market yourself, please check out this thread legal nurse consulting and marketing ideas

after veiwing this thread, if you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
