    I am a nursing student that will be graduating in May 2004. I would love to relocate to Kentucky but would like to get additional information about the nursing profession in your state. I would like to know if the state has any assistance with loan forgiveness, average salary, benefits ect.

    http://www.uoflhealthcare.org/ Here's a link to where I work, if that helps. Just go to the Healthcare Professionals link, then to Careers. There you will find job openings and benefits. We are starting new ASNs out at about $22/hr base pay (last I heard). They also offer a loan buy-back, and the Ky BON http://kbn.ky.gov/index-old.htm does offer a Loan Forgiveness Program if you got your loan through The Student Loan People, and possibly if you got a Stafford Loan.     If you got a Perkins Loan, you can have that forgiven if you are employed full time as a nurse, regardless of what state you work in. Just contact your Loan Officer for that info.
