Hi, I am a student nurse in Aus and was thinking of getting sponsorship from ADF as they will pay for uni, txtbooks, healthcare and high pay. If I get sponsored from now, I will have to work in ADF for 2years (as they will only sponsor for 1 year and +1 more year to work if you get sponsored) So I thought when I finish my contract with ADF, then just move to US to work as RN.

So, my question is... is ADF nurse able to work overseas? especially in US n UK?

The reason why I ask is that US army related job people have some kind of restriction

with working overseas because of some work privacy reason?(if I am wrong please point out)

share of any other helpful article or knowledge will be appreciated!

Any US state you approach will look at your nursing degree only. If you did theory and prac concurrently and also if you have covered all their curriculum. The Australian curriculum does not cover obstetrics and paeds, as here in Australia the idea is you specialise in thses areas after you undergraduate and are considered generalists nurses not nurse/midwife, therefore more often than not the Australian degree is turned down and applicants do not even make it to the Nclex, exam. The pathway of finding a university over there to do the ob or study midwifery after nursing. Those who do the 4 year double degree, Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery is another alternative and as long as theory and prac would have a better chance to succeed and may be worth considering. Good luck.
