United kingdom Nurse applying for AHPRA Nursing Registration to work in Australia

Dear all,

I am a UK RN with 2 years post registration experience. My boyfriend and I have recently applied for a first year working holiday visa which is in progress at present (His has been granted).

With regards to applying for the AHPRA Nursing registration, it appears this is greatly time consuming and highly costly. According to my supporting evidence, I have 15 documents that require certifying. Each document has been quoted between £20-£120 from a variety of individuals that would be accredited to certify them. Does anyone have any advice on how to go about certifying these documents without such cost. I understand a cost will be essential, but has anyone had the same experience and could advise me accordingly.

I have applied to a number of vacancies already, understandably, have had no joy as my visa and registration have not been granted. Has anyone got any advice on this also.
