UK nursing to US nursing?

Just moved here with my husband's job.

I am currently looking for an RN position (I have just received my US license)

I wondered if there are any UK Nurses who moved to work in the US, that can tell me how they coped with the change and was it difficult.

Did you find it difficult or is it quite similar?

I notice that a lot of the US nurses discuss drugs using the Trade names which I was never taught to do, so I am quite often thrown by that, but then after checking out the name, find that I am familiar with the drug in it's generic name.

I am specifically looking at hospice nursing which is my main background. Any Hospice nurses out there that can help?
