The first step in getting approved for an H1B Visa is an offer of employment. If the offer is for a position as a specialized RN, you meet the qualifications based on your background experience as a nurse, and the position requires a BSN or higher, your Master's degree/NP training does not have a bearing on the approval of the visa. If the offer of employment is for a nurse practitioner and you possess all the required national and state certifications, you should also have no problem getting approved. These are all hypothetical...the bigger question is what your chances are of being offered a position in either roles.

Hi all,
If i apply for the H1B visa and I have a NP master degree, does it mean that I have to find a job of NP? Can i find a job of specialized RN rather than one for NP? Thanks for your responses.
