Hello, I am new grad nurse and I am looking to move to Ireland. soon I will become registered nurse in and I wish to ask if there is someone who was in my same situation or some irish nurse. I am not EU citizen and I will need work permit. where can I seek for help , are there recruitment agencies willing to help ? Or should I find employer on my own

I have got decision letter already . And got job in nursing home but I am waiting for adaptation date , so that I can apply work permit and come there to do adaptation. It's being 2-3 months I have not got any date for adaptation . How long did u wait to get adaptation date? Is there any way I can try to get another job? Because I am fed up with slow response of this nursing home..

I am eu trained nurse but I am not an eu citizen so I didn't need to go through adaptation period.

I thought you need to do your adaptation in public hospital. It seems they have change the rules about that.

I am not sure about your work permit. You should find the list of hospitals in which you'll be able to apply for adaptation. Try on ABA.ie

hi athina, i am also in the same boat as you. by the way are you from the Philippines? I tried to email one of the recruitment agencies in ireland and i only got one reply and they told me to submit resume to them which i just did. however, i feel saddened anout the new rules that was impose. I think Ireland is limiting the release of working permits to non eeu trained nurses.. im not sure..

Hi Sinedenise! I'm exactly in the same position now.Graduated from Finland but I'm a nonEU. I'm genuinely interested in working in Ireland. I have tried to email few agencies but couldn't get any response. Do you think I should go ahead with the NMBI registration? How is the job market for nurses in Ireland at the moment? Can you tell me which agency you used? Thanks!!
